LCEM currently welcomes certified Physician Assistants to join their practice, and serve the Emergency Department at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. At Mercy, a 445-bed, Level III Trauma Center, experience a 25-bed ED with an annual volume of 40,000, and an 8-bed Fast Track with a volume of 8,000. Mid-levels’ coverage is 20 hours, while physicians cover 42.5 hours. Experienced Physician Assistants receive a starting pay of $50/hr, and benefits including malpractice, health and life insurance, and 401(k). Located less than 30 minutes from the University of Iowa, Cedar Rapids is the second largest metropolitan area, tucked away in the heart of Eastern Iowa. We are presently looking for a BC/BP Residency-Trained EM physician who enjoys working with a quality of care driven group, a remarkable medical staff at Mercy Medical Center, and a no buy-in Partnership benefit. Mercy is a 445-bed, Level III Trauma Center, nationally recognized for excellence in patient care. The newly designed state-of-the-art emergency department has 28 beds with 8 Fast Track rooms and a combined annual patient volume of 40,000. There are 42.5 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of mid-level coverage per day. Physicians are Independent Contractors with an excellent hourly rate. LCEM offers a partnership opportunity after the first year, with no buy-in, and a quarterly bonus structure which enhances the well above market rate per hour.
